Rebekah Tells Us About Wild Ink Press and Golden Valley Bank

Published on Jun 4, 2015

Build upon the passion to create value.

Wild Ink Press is a charming Letterpress studio and shop located in a renovated old soda bottling plant in downtown Chico. Visitors who stop by their bright, airy shop will often find sharp dressed staff playing with movable type on sometimes cranky old printing presses, turning out beautiful finished cards and stationery. It’s like stepping back in time – but with Pandora playing in the background.

Started in a home based studio with two greeting card designs and a handful of wedding invitations, Rebekah worked tirelessly to build Wild Ink to a recognized brand. It’s paid off. One of those original greeting card designs based on Father’s Day, won a Louie Award this past year (it’s like the Oscars of the Greeting Card industry) validating the love and passion she puts into every design.

In its fifth year of business, Wild Ink Press has grown substantially, recently relocating into its current 3200 square foot location downtown, is home to seven vintage presses, five employees and its products can be found in 200 U.S stores, online and internationally in England, Australia and New Zealand.

Creating a product that leaves a deep impression.

When it comes to Letterpress printing, deep impressions count. Literally. Made by hand, one piece at a time with loving attention to detail, Rebekah, and her dedicated staff, approach the creation of each piece with passion and fervor. They delight in the process of coaxing century old printing presses to achieve the look and feel only letterpress can offer. Rebekah’s goal? Create a cherished, finished product that makes a deep, lasting impression on everyone it touches.

Those same traits of flexibility, attention to detail and desire to create value are some of the reasons why Rebekah and Matt love Golden Valley Bank. Rebekah correlates how the detail put into the bank’s atmosphere (lights, windows, art) is a direct reflection of the level of service and attention to detail they receive as customers. When asked to describe GVB in one word, Rebekah chose “helpful”.

Rebekah Tennis:  My Bank Listens.

Banking at Golden Valley is a family affair for the Tennis’.  Rebekah points out how staff knows them all by name and they feel comfortable dropping by to chat with their loan advisor, Kevin or reaching out if they need assistance with online banking.  That is one of Rebekah’s favorite aspects. If she has a need, she calls and gets a person that she knows. There isn’t a 1-800 number that directs het through an automated system; she talks to a real person every time.

Rebekah says “We have been with Golden Valley Bank since the very beginning. Originally, we joined when Matt's mother was a founding director, but we would never dream of leaving. The kindness, personal service and amazing staff make it everything we want in a bank. Plus, my kids would kill me! They love the candy there too much”.

Thanks Rebekah! We appreciate you and your family too.
